This #SundaySupper we’re holding a Thanksgiving party, hosted by Paula of Vintage Kitchen Notes. I’m offering a festive Scottish twist on Thanksgiving, with a mulled-wine inspired Plum and Blackberry Crumble. As the nights draw in and...
I’m so happy to be rejoining #SundaySupper after so long away, particularly as the Halloween theme is my favourite of the year! Hosted by Kathia of Basic N Delicious, this theme allows childish creativity to run wild, which I love. Since...
Another month, another #WeekdaySupper! Inspired by Family Foodie, we’re offering recipes every day of the week to keep your family happy. In August, one of my favourite things to eat is a caprese salad – the simple combination of perfectly ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and vibrant basil leaves is just gorgeous. But, after the wonderful weather in July, we’ve got a period of cooler, rainy days, which call for something warm at dinner time. So thank heavens for preserving and jam-making, which is the theme of #SundaySupper this week, hosted by Heather of Hezzi-D’s Books and Cooks. By making Apricot Ginger Jam, I can preserve the taste of Summer well into the cool, dark evenings of Autumn.Read More
It’s a glorious weekend for a barbecue – Summer is here! So this #SundaySupper is a BBQ Party theme, hosted by Jennie of The Messy Baker. Now, although cake is not traditional BBQ food, when it comes to a cookout, I’m in charge of dessert. I leave my friends to get in touch with their inner pyromaniac lighting and cooking on the barbie, and I sort the pud for when everyone craves that sweet kick at the end of the evening. It’s a system that seems to work, so this week, I’m offering a summery, South American Tres Leches Cake.Read More
