Malawian Mbatata Cookies with Coconut Cream for #SundaySupper

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this #SundaySupper is all about romantic dishes for two, hosted by Susan of The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen. I wanted to get out of my usual ‘chocolate and strawberries’ Valentines rut, so I decided upon a Malawian recipe for Mbatata Cookies with Coconut Cream.

Titan also kindly sent me a gift card to cover the cost of the ingredients.

Cranachan for #SundaySupper

I think raspberries may just be my favourite summer fruit – something you might be able to figure out from the sheer number of raspberry recipes on here! Crumbley of No-One Likes Crumbley Cookies, meant that I just couldn’t resist making raspberries my star ingredient. After all, they are at the height of their season at the moment and are at their most delicious.

Dark and Spicy Chocolate Pots de Creme for #SundaySupper

Chocolate. Spice. Cream. This is one indulgent Cinco de Mayo dessert. Known here in Britain as baked custard, but sounding much prettier with their French name, pots de creme, these are little pots of heaven. But rather than having a sweet, European flavour, these Dark and Spicy Chocolate Pots de Creme are distinctly Mexican, especially for this Cinco de Mayo #SundaySupper, hosted by Jen of Juanitas Cocina (I can’t think of anyone more appropriate to host this week!)
