Hi, I’m Katy and I’m so glad you stopped by – welcome to the home of happy baking!
One way to describe me would be a career girl in her twenties who bakes for light relief, but I don’t feel as though that’s a true impression of me. I suppose I’m better known as the Starry-Eyed Girl: a free spirit, a wanderer. My two great passions are travelling and food – the two go so well together so much of the time! The outlet for my tales of adventure around the world is Starry-Eyed Travels, while Happy Baking Days deals with my adventures in the kitchen.
Most of my baking was learnt from my grandma and mum, so a homely, British baking tradition runs through the things I make. However, my travels have also introduced me to a huge variety of ingredients and recipes, which I love experimenting with, so you’ll find some more exotic things from time to time.
